Bill's practice encompasses the representation of a diverse client base in the resolution of complex legal disputes through litigation and mediation. Over the past 35 years, his practice has covered a broad range of issues, more recently focusing on unique cases involving commercial litigation, theft of trade secrets, insurance issues, construction disputes, contract claims, fiduciary litigation, professional negligence claims (legal, engineering, and architectural), constitutional land use, wrongful death claims, employment claims, family law matters, and other distinctive cases.

Bill has served as lead counsel in more than 30 jury trials and numerous non-jury proceedings, including notable cases in Bexar and surrounding counties. Bill's clients also engage his services with regard to contract negotiations and general business advice.

Bill is consistently recognized by his peers for his legal expertise. Bill was also recognized as one of "San Antonio's Best Lawyers" by Scene in SA, Texas Monthly magazines from 2005 through 2015 and recognized in Texas Monthly as "Top 50 Attorneys in the Central & West Texas Region" for 2013 and 2014.
